5 Ways to be a Likable and Successful Person in 2020 | Ultimate Guide to Socializing With Others

Have you ever wondered why you’re always the one your supervisor scold? Why has your sales performance always been less than satisfactory? Why do your clients keep avoiding seeing you as if you were their exes? Are you incompetent? Are you clumsy? Or are you simply the poor one that God makes fun of?

NO, NO, NO. You are better than this and you know that. From what I’m seeing, you just need a teacher, a guide to help you get back on the right track.

There is another thing, you may tell yourself that it is Covid-19 picking on you, and everything will okay after the pandemic. But that’s not true either. A leopard cannot change his spots, you must assess yourself, find your inadequacy, and fix it for good if you really want to be better.

Don’t worry, we know you have the quality and ability to pull off the deal on your own, and a little help is all you need, so we are here to offer you a very particular set of skills (God, I love Liam Neeson) to boost you up.

  1. I know you must have heard this a thousand times, but ACT NORMAL!

First things first, whether you are at school, at a party or at work, no one will come and say hi to you if you keep doing handstand around or telling lame jokes (unless they are really great ones, but if that’s the case, you wouldn’t be here, right?) I’m not asking you to be a social butterfly or party animal, I’m asking you to act normal. I know you may feel anxious or uncomfortable in front of people you are not familiar with, but that is the process of making friends. You can practice how to behave and how to talk by imitating celebrities, actors or even your friends. Find a person you admire, and learn from him. For example, I love how Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight acts with people, it’s charming and witty, so maybe you should too.

  1. Be humble, not haughty

Come on, not a single man or woman on earth likes a cocky, full-of-him/herself person. If you’re having a meeting with your client, and the words coming out of your mouth is: “Hey, my father is the CEO of this company, we are very rich, we have 10 private jets, what do you have,” I will tell you that I have every justified reason to tear you up into pieces (metaphorically, I know this is a PG-rated article.) Sometimes, you may not be aware that you’re annoying, so mind your surroundings, keep an eye on the one you talk with, make sure that person doesn’t express a “What a jerk” look.

  1. Get dressed up to the nines

We often hear that “don’t judge a book by its cover,” but the cover does matter to some degree. A person is constituted of the outside and inside, but off and on people are not given the chance to develop a deeper connection with you if you have oily skin, greasy hair and a bad taste in clothes. Like I mentioned before, find someone you look up to, and learn from them. However, the basic principle of looking decent is to be simple and clean, no fancy or larger-than-life outfits; a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans will suffice.

  1. Find your signature

To further your charisma, you need something unique, something memorable. Some will pick necklaces, some will pick watches, but I’ll recommend you gemstone bracelets, they never cross your mind, do they? People seldom realize the significance of bracelets, so this is your opportunity to lead the trend. Every gemstone bracelet comes with distinct stories, such as calmness, strength, determination, and so forth, which help you make a statement of who you are. Tiger Eye bracelet and Howlite bracelet are my favorites, and you should check more at Azuro Republic, you won’t regret it.

  1. A nice smile will do

Everyone knows how to smile, but not everyone knows its importance. A smile seems to have a supernatural power to influence people around you. At the workplace, in a relationship, in your daily life, a good smile cures everything, it shows friendliness, it cures a broken heart, it relieves a day’s tiredness. So, what I want you to do is simply smile, smile more, smile to everyone, to your mom, dad, friend, colleague, or someone you don’t even know. Do as I say, and you’re not far from having a successful life.
