While I am a firm believer in hard work and patience, the most important thing to do in organizing parties is to have an organized and well thought out theme. All too often I see parties that have an odd design that does not really match the theme of the party. Another common mistake that I have seen many people make is to over plan and try to fill the party with things that do not necessarily fit. Therefore if you are hosting a party, be sure to have a theme.

Themes can vary from various degrees of seriousness or frivolity, depending on the day’s activities. For example, a Christmas party with decorations and festivities for the holiday season would require a different style of party than a beach themed party.
